EUROPEAN DIMENSION
- European policies
Collective Research is a form of research undertaken by RTD performers
on behalf of Industrial Associations/Groupings in order to expand the
knowledge base of large communities of SMEs and to improve their general
standard of competitiveness. They will be substantial Europe-wide projects
lasting between two to three years. An 'SME core group' should contribute
to the project, from the definition phase to the dissemination of the
final results. The intellectual property rights belong exclusively to
the Industrial Associations/Groupings, while the SME core group will benefit
from the exploitation of the results.

- Reference Programme
The roofing industry is not a partner in this project.
We are however aware that roofing products play an important role in the
realisation of active roofs.
We therefore propose to involve industrial parties in
the dissemination of the project results in a separate project, the EUR-ACTIVE
ROOFer Reference Programme, of which industrial parties can become member.
We received consent for this programme, provided all Intellectual Property
Rights remain with the federations.
The benefits of being a member of the Reference Programme
are:
- first hand insight in the research.
- insight in the development of national and European training programmes
and best practice catalogues.
- special workshops with the participants regarding the above topics.
In exchange for a sponsorship, members of the Reference
Programme will:
- be a special guest at project meetings which take place twice a year
during the project, through which the IFD, the other federations and the
roofers will provide them with the necessary information.
- be involved in the project as a sounding board.
- get an official sponsor indication a.o. on this website.
Interested parties are invited to contact the project
coordinator Wouter Borsboom.
